Before

Every big project needs a before and after shot. This is the before. We are about to break ground on this small home project (although, in many ways, the ground has been broken for a while now). I'll spare you all the gruesome details right now, but here's what you need to know: 400+ square feet; one bedroom, kitchen, "great" room (great is relatively speaking). We are salvaging one end of the old house that we tore down last summer. Under the plastic covering here is a floor space of tongue-and-groove 2x6 fir that we will sand and refinish. It will be smooth enough that we can break dance naked on it with no splinters.

This space requires vision, vision of what this can look like down the road. That comes with a little faith that it will be all right in the end. 

The other things that this space comes with are pictured here: an old, but extremely loyal dog; and one beautiful and hot blonde. What more can I ask of a place?
