Bald Eagle

Doon The Watter

Two days earlier I had caught sight of Waverley as she sailed past Dunure. Today I took a trip over to Rothesay. The sun shone but in typical style it rained as well. The putting match had to be abandoned after only 8 holes because of the heavy rain.

Nothing else for it but to retreat to Zavaronni's to wait for the arrival of Waverley. As you can see there was a beautiful rainbow to greet her as she sailed majestically down the Kyles of Bute towards the pier at Rothesay.

We caught the ferry back to Wemyss Bay and drove to Largs where we again caught up with Waverley as she made the short crossing from Cumbrae to her last stop on her cruise that day.
