Catch, Grandma!

Our daughter and granddaughter came to visit today - and Jessica had great fun playing with all her toys. She is really beginning to play 'properly' and will keep herself amused for ages.

The girls went on a lunch / shopping trip whilst I waited in for a gas engineer coming to service our boiler.

When they returned Jessica sat on the floor with this ball and was throwing for grandma to catch. She was very pleased with herself.

I was using a flashgun for this shot - with it pointing straight up at the ceiling to fill the scene with light and I also had a reflector card strapped to the gun to throw some light directly at Jessica. Quite pleased how it turned out with no harsh shadows. Maybe could have used a smaller aperture to darken the background a little more - I had to do some work in Lightroom to darken it this much.
