New Toy

I'd just made a start on picking this year's apples this morning, when my new toy arrived, right on time: I played very happily for an hour or so and before I knew it I'd packed 5 carrier bags full. Still loads up there though.

It does the job well and with any luck I'll avoid all the scratches I normally get on my arms, stretching to reach the highest branches.

Managed to give 3 to neighbours but it took me an hour or so to peel and prepare one carrier bag (about 5lbs worth) for the freezer this afternoon before our granddaughter Sophie arrived for a sleepover and she let me play with her toys.
