Back and reflecting...

we were saying that being in Khartoum at 45-50 C was never a problem because the heat is so dry.   Columbo, on the other hand, is pretty exhausting - hot, humid, and lacking in hygiene in many places.   11 members of our team succumbed to a food poisoning bug.   Our supervisor cruises regularly as ship's doctor, and she assured us that this was down to toxins and not a virus - so it arrived fast, was of short duration, then left fast - but with the victim feeling worn out.    I was sick on the flight yesterday from Colombo to Doha - but only once, and although I don't feel great, the physical symptoms have disappeared.
