Crook View

Not the best of photos as with yesterday the weather was to be too wet to risk my camera so only my phone to take photos. And todays gather was very busy so not much time to stop and admire the view or take photos. Done plenty of miles today but it was quite a clean gather, I picked up a group of "roughies" (sheep still with this years fleece on) right at the start of the second half of the gather. Them still having their fleece on was a sign that they knew how to evade being gathered so I had to keep on them to make sure they came in. They made a break for it to cut back once they had got quite a distance from me, I was just trying to cast out Breagh wide enough to catch them when another gatherer came in view at just a perfect spot so radioed him to get them turned. Thankfully we got them turned and heading the right way and picked up some more along the way. This was taken on the home stretch as it were.

After gathering stopped off briefly at my mums to pick up 3 hens she had for me as she had surplus from some broods of chicks. Just about to put them in the hen house now its getting dark.

13c 6mph SE overcast with a cold wind heavy showers but them missed us until the last half hour where one glanced us.
