Blue Margarets

We had a day out in Liverpool today and while we were walking down Matthew Street we spotted some Japanese ladies in full Beatles' outfits going into the Cavern pub. 

It is Beatles Week running alongside the Liverpool Music Festival and the thought of seeing something interesting was too much to resist so we headed into the pub where we caught the tail end of a Barcelona based Beatles tribute act called the Flaming Shakers (see extra photo). 

We then watched the complete set of the wonderful, all-female Japanese Beatles tribute act, the Blue Margarets. While the Spanish group were musically very good they couldn't match the sheer exuberance of the Blue Margarets and as kwdiane says in her similar blip it is hard to remember seeing an act enjoying themselves so much.

For the first time I also tried to take a few videos with my camera and was delighted with the results. I figured out how to get it on to You Tube so here is my video of the  Blue Margarets performing She Loves You  (no editing this is straight from the camera)
