Clydeside
A wee trip 'doon the watter' on the Waverley and a long standing ambition realised.
The sailing includes commentary on the Clyde shipyards, most of which are now housing, supermarkets or wasteland. Except this one, now a scrap metal merchant.
Industrial heritage always carries a poignancy; but on the Clyde it seems more acute. Global capitalism is responsible for Greenock, don't know how it bears that heavy burden.
