Flower Friday 28 Hibiscus

Rather late to the party with this one as I ran out of time to post last night.  I wouldn't win any prizes for this rather tatty  Hibiscus syriacus which is looking rather sorry for itself, as it does year after year: the flowers always begin to open, full of promise, then rot before the bloom can fully open.  So if anyone out there can offer me any advice, I'd be very grateful indeed!

The rather sleepy bee was clearly happy that there was nothing wrong with the pollen supply though,  and...there was sunshine and blue sky!  It's not forecast to last over the Bank Holiday weekend but it wouldn't really be a proper British Bank Holiday without rain!
