hanging with John Lee - "boom, boom, boom, boom" -
And so like all the while I languished out in the middle of nowhere - the Atlantic Ocean - listening to boring lectures, watching people pretend to be somewhere back in time, while counting the cost of this and that vs. them and those (and yes that probably was a good idea) - avoiding the incessant and somewhat (somewhat hell) deeply offensive questions regarding my passage: the majority of which you can imagine and as such will not be repeated here
all the while - I kept thinking of our last weekend in New York, now that was indeed an hilarious bit of history - "Drunk History" - in the life of "those two"
Not accustomed to observing Herself in a state of alcohol induced silliness, I will now admit and say how impressed I found myself with how conversant She showed herself to be, recounting with clarity, nuance and in some respect a commanding depth of knowledge regarding the characters, history and sounds of the Mississippi Delta. A point the regular patrons of our favorite watering hole in Manhattan relish and enjoy.
However . . . .
Slurring ones words, while vainly attempting to maintain decorum - alone, in and of itself - is worth the cost of admission, especially when delivered with an accent that just drips the 'upper' off the 'crust' attracting far more unknowing but adoring "fellow passengers in time and space" than desired: think Hyacinth Bucket ('Boo-kay')
New Yorkers just love the English 'behaving badly'!
So as I watch the weather be the weather outside, pleasantly British, and read about the current intense heat wave back in San Francisco, while on the iPod, brother John Lee is groaning on, "Boom, boom, boom, boom"
I'm just glad She, standing out on the balcony, is wearing the face of that cat from Cheshire
Today's photo was taken in Mimi's in New York, where the security dude refers to Herself as "The Duchess" and to 'her main dude' as "Danny Glover" (I look NOTHING like Mr. Glover, but there you go)
Happy days
