Rodent rumpus
"'And now,' cried Max, 'Let the wild rumpus begin!'"
- Where the Wild Things Are, Maurice Sendak
And begin it did!
A new litter of swaggering teenage street squirrels have appeared, much to Nelson's disgust. They have much to learn fresh from the nest, he assures me.
Fyra showed up again after coming up missing for a bit. She assures me that she was just under there...
Time to focus a bit on my Swedish jaiunt. We did gift shopping Saturday after the Fairy Magic and yesterday also at a local Massachusetts L.L. Bean store. I'm pretty much set and know what duds, etc. to bring. The biggest dither is of course camera stuff. I'm bringing my D90 with the 35mm and my little Leica d-lux 4. Yesterday I was sure that was all, today I'm thinking about bringing my 18-200 Nikkor zoom, hmmm. It's only a week, we're staying put at the Hunnebo summer house, BUT, the West Coast of Sweden is absolutely beautiful and a zoom would be nice...
I have to pick up my Books in Bloom arrangement at the library this morning. A dozen of us in the club did them and they were really wonderful and a big hit. We have our annual Garden Club picnic at a member's house on Thursday. It's at high noon , with little shade and hot humid temps being billed as approaching 100! I think we may be eating in, on her porch! We've had very cool weather for several weeks, so this will be a nasty shocker. I hate humidity and heat.
For the Record,
Today came in cool with sun and warming temperatures. My brother & sister-in-law, (G's parents) are celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary today. This is also the day Nora & Gordon were married 92 years ago. C&D picked the 18th for that reason.
