Stroud Fringe
Took the bike for a run up to Stroud to see what was going on at the Stroud Fringe Festival. Stroud is a lovely town nestled into a valley with the river Frome and the Stroudwater Navigation canal shaping the landscape. It's a quirky place that has collected a significant number of Druid friends in recent years, and it was no surprise to find one of the impromptu music venues today was powered by a bicycle dynamo. The cyclist was busily pedalling even as he took snaps with his phone of the Rhythm Slingers as they played.
Later, I returned home to mow the clover (well it would be stretching it to call it lawn at the moment), and in moving one of the planters I inadvertently caused ructions in a tightly packed ant nest. The extra photo is not perhaps everyones beverage of choice, and it's not the best photo either since they cleared the zillion ant eggs in an amazingly short time.
Life, innit.
