Clever Puppies

Woooohoooooooo it's been an amazing day!

4 of our 6 puppies had entered a conformation show today. We met at the show ground this morning and helped each other with the last preparations. 

The Baby Puppy (3 - 6 mth) Class was split in 2 - dogs and bitches, so Gollum was first in the ring in the dog class. He was a very good boy and behaved a lot better than I had dared to hope for. The judge was a breed specialist from Scotland and she put Gollum up as winner of the class. Wooooohooo! I hadn't expected that!

Then the girls were in. Gollums 3 sisters - Easy, Ex-it and Vega was in the bitch class and our luck continued. They placed 1st (Vega), 2nd (Easy) and 3rd (Ex-it) in the class. It was really an amazing thing to experience - having 4 dogs at a show in 2 different classes and get 2 x 1st, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd. It could not have gone any better. 

The the 2 class winners - Vega and Gollum - had to go back in and compete for Best Baby Puppy in Breed and Best Baby Puppy of Opposite Sex.  Such a luxury to be in the ring and know that no matter which dog that was chosen, I would feel like the winner as they were both named Hazyland. 

Vega won Best Baby Of Breed and Gollum Best Of Opposite Sex. 

So here they are: Hazyland Fellowship Of The Ring - Vega & Hazyland My Preciouzzz - Gollum. Best Baby Bitch and Best Baby Dog - Best Of Breed and Best Of Opposite Sex.

Our puppies have proven today that they are not only well adjusted family pets and training partners. They are also well built and good looking Border Collies.

I am very proud of Helle's and my litter.

We enjoyed the rest of the show and when it was all over, Helle and I stayed on the show ground and had a training session with the adult dogs. The pups were too tired to train :-)

We finished with a dog walk in the Academy Garden and whooooops! I locked my car keys in the car! Thank Godness Helle was there! I borrowed her car and drove home to get my spare key whilst Helle looked after my dogs for me!
