Keep it away

Today saw an impromptu visit to the sea.

We woke leisurely as you do on holiday. Last night was a late one due to an unwelcome visitor to our apartment by the way of a lizard. Not sure if it ever went out but i got so tired and went to sleep..it was very very hot last night so sleep was limited but we got by.

So up today to no sun. Its spain and no sun! But it was still very warm. Teenage son bought some new sunglasses and unfortunately needed a little adjusting. We tried every pharmacy around but were told we needed to go further afield. We met some friends we have made out here, yes we've been here so often we have friends. We met them in a cafe who told us exactly where to go to get the sunglasses adjusted.

A short bus ride, a short walk and we found 'le optico' they were just literally closing the door. The lady very kindly asked our problem. We showed them and with a promise not to hold them responsible if the glasses broke, the optician adjusted them accordingly. Very grateful and no charge we have a happy teenage son again. phew.

On the way back to the bus stop we had a little "shall we just see whats down here". We found the sea. Teenage daughter and myself had a paddle, husband and son went for a drink. Still no son but very warm.

We had a cool off in the pool on return before out for our meal at el chancho. Was lovely.

We watched the first half of Barcelona v malaga at the same time watching the lady close down the 'boat house' chippy. She's been here 12 years and is going back to england. Good luck boathouse lady.

Back at the apartment, sangria in hand another unwelcome visitor on my balcony. Great. I'm going to sing like the kareoke last night to keep it away.
