Soggy but smiley commentators!

A lovely day at Dunsfold Wings and Wheels that began with sunshine and ended in rain spent with my air show family the Turbulent Display Team and fellow display teams, crews and commentators all of whom were smiling all day.

After a difficult week for everyone in the air show community it was so lovely to see everyone putting on their best smiles and providing some great performances.

The crowd showed great resolve as the umbrellas and rain macs came out just as the Turb Team began their display.

Much frivolity and laughter came from the crowd with umbrella appreciation as Brendan encouraged them to bob their brollies up and down in applause.

The last couple of hours at the show I was 'promoted' along with my friend Helen to be chief umbrella hostesses for the soggy commentators. As ever the British public shows its Dunkirk spirit and against the odds the show must go on!

Just hoping the weather behaves tomorrow...
