Pow Wow Pears

Something of an emergency blip today. Well, actually a total emergency blip. We have old friends staying with us and have been having a lovely time playing with them.This is a label from the pear crates from OilMan's Grandparents orchard. It's probably totally politically incorrect now, and it is definitely very faded, but it is one of the few things he still has from his family and I really like it…especially above the shelf of dessert plates from my mother, some of which have pears on them.

We bought a painting from a Danish artist who brought her sister-in-law with her when she delivered the painting. The sister-in-law recognized the plates as some made by one of her relatives in Denmark. Small world story number 243.
