Victor Hugo's House

We visited Hauteville House, Victor Hugo's house, this afternoon. He spent 15 years in exile in Guernsey from 1855 and bought this house a year later. The house itself is a work of art, both in layout and décor and I have always loved it. I visited years ago but Mark had never seen it and was keen to do so. Amy also came along but James stayed with Grandma & Grandpa... he wasn't keen and I didn't want his moaning to spoil my enjoyment!

So many fab features but probably my favourite is the glass room at the top of the house where he did his writing.
