Lily!!

The large exotic lilies i planted last year have absolutely amazed me!  yesterday i walked out into the garden and it was as if they were shouting.....TA DA...LOOK AT US!!!  They are spectacular, almost outrageous actually!

Our lovely wwoofer Jordan headed off this morning on his bike...he's going to peddle his way around the Cabot Trail....i'm very impressed - it is not for the faint of heart!  He was extremely helpful around here even if it was only for 2 days.  A very lovely young man!

i'm listening to a fabulous book on CD.   'Traveling with Pomegranates' by Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor.   it's a mother daughter memoir i guess....Sue Monk Kidd wrote a book i loved...The Secret Lives of Bees...and this book is written by her and her daughter as they both experience rather important transitions in their lives!   Sue is turning 50, dealing with menopause and all that entails....and Ann the daughter, is dealing with a crisis in terms of what she is going to do with her life!   They take a trip to Greece (that sounds like a brilliant idea) and the insights they both reveal is wonderful.  Highly recommend this, especially to woman who are of a certain age and dealing with daughters growing up and all that entails!!!
