Oak

This is Pressmennan Wood in East Lothian, believed to be one of the last traces of Scotland's ancient oak woodland. D, J and I had a lovely slow walk along the bank of Pressmennan Lake where there were little grebes, tufted ducks, a swan and the odd mallard. Then it was lunch at the dam and back by a higher route with some brief views of the Bass Rock and North Berwick Law.
