Bird-in-Bird

I spend a few hours on the balcony watching birds today.
In Fridays newspaper we were asked to fill the bird feeders, because the hot days and the draught gives them a hard time finding food.
First time I've read someting like that in summer!
I had a few fat balls from last winter and put them out - and my balcony has been an airport since. Six fat balls in three days!
I was sitting right next to the feeders, but they didn't care.
A treat for the wasps was also out - an overripe pear - kept them busy and away from me. Worked out really well.
