Blue blizzard over
Today I finished making the rough land forms with the areas to be below the surface of the layout - OK - holes. All done and vacuumed up although I have a feeling that I will find small bits of blue foam weeks from now downstairs. For instance, a neighbor's dog was visiting yesterday and as she was leaving I was sure I saw a little blue dot going home on her back. Sort of stood out on a pure black dog! Sharing the wealth.
This scene will be dominated with a saw mill - yet to be built. The depression sort of center blip will be the log pond, where log cars will dump their logs. A little too deep right now, but sculptamold will help solve that. Also a resin last water surface, with floating logs will help the scene.
Everything looks pretty fake right now, but the sculptamold will tie it together and then lots of paint and weathering, and dry brushing.
