A Dragon Eats the Sun
This is actually in mono, but I have a coloured filter thing happening over the top, so...
Today's topic, 'Secret' was interpreted through my journal. The dragon clouds and sun were mere observers. Nothing is secret from them.
THE ISLAND RIM
We stopped upon an island
With beaming grains of sand
With amber heat from sun and fire
And abundance from the land.
What joy we did encounter there,
How marvelously we played, till
A sudden gust drove you to the boat
Then lost in distant haze.
One- now two- of us exist
On that jewel in the sea.
You left behind a treasure
She is part of you and me.
Though you pretend to have forgotten us
(Omission in the extreme)
Beyond the veils of space and time
The currents are unseen.
Though we are your hidden secret
Though I may never see your face
When your boat returns to these island shores
Our treasure will be in her place.
Open that chest gently
Treat it with the greatest care.
You will find that light embraces you
Past wind and veils and fear.
Love's surges of light engulf us still
Within the island rim.
