Bowl of Memories

What started out as a fun idea for a Saturday afternoon turned into a drive through one of the strongest wind storms we've experienced in quite some time. The weather forecast had predicted heavy rain (which, due to our drought conditions, would have been welcome with open arms) but instead we had 60+ mph winds which blew down trees, tree limbs, signs, knocked out power, cable/internet networks, and wreaked havoc in general. The power at home was out until late into the evening but many other homes were still without power the next day (remember, this is a "back blip" )

We still enjoyed the drive and landed in La Conner where we spent a few hours taking in the waterfront scenery and visiting a few antique shops where items such as this big bowlful of old photographs were on display. This was blipping, the old-fashioned way!
