Backblip: Less than promising

We made the decision to take off for the weekend but kept our expectations low. We were headed for East Mainland. Mr L leaped from his desk when work finished and we immediately boarded Brunhilde and set off for the afternoon ferry. It had been a glorious day, very hot and sunny and we were looking forward to a good weekend.

This was the view ahead of us on the ferry - we were headed into some heavy weather and indeed by the time that we were approaching Kirkwall we had been forced  inside by the rain and hail (!)

We stocked up with provisions at Tesco and went to see if we could fit Brunhilde in at the Inganess Bay car park, where we spent a peaceful night.
