Leading the way

I went to the Revolution cycling series at the newly opened Derby Arena Velodrome. Lots of Team GB cyclists were present and competing to gain qualification points for the Olympics in Rio next summer.

I saw heats for the mens and womens sprints, and also the scratch race for the Omnium which featured Mark Cavendish in the mens race, and Laura Trott in the womens. Laura won the scratch race, and would go on to triumph overall. This is the moment that Laura burst to the front of the race.
