Heather at Westlelton

A walk at Dunwich/Westelton to see the heather had been planned for weeks, but we couldn't plan the weather.   Undeterred we set off early in the pouring rain, arrived at Dunwich National Trust site and decided to go for a bracing walk along the beach for an hour or so.   Soaking wet we treated ourselves to Hot Chocolate and Cheese Scones (not so nice today as we have had them) and after drying and thawing out we made our way to Westleton Heath.    We were not disappointed, the heather is looking beautiful even in the pouring rain and we are glad we weren't put off by the typical British Bank Holiday Monday weather.
Into work this afternoon to prepare for the monthly wage run tomorrow.
