Storm, what storm

We were forecast for heavy rain and thunderstorms today, which promised to finally bring an end to the very hot weather.  The first rain was forecast for mid-morning so I was out early to cut the grass around the house and behind the barn.  I made it by 10.30 just as the first few spits of rain arrived.  But then they stopped and the sun came out.  The thunderstorm never arrived at all (though I could here a rumble of it from far away), just a short rain shower or two which quickly evaporated.  If this keeps up we will have to get air conditioning installed!
