That's it... Edinburgh Festival is over!

As per usual to mark the official end of the Edinburgh International Festival there was a classical music concert in the gardens with accompanying fireworks from the castle. It's difficult to decide where to go for the best shots of the fireworks, Calton Hill is probably good if you have a decent long lens, but it can be cold up there. Princes Street is always mobbed and you have to get there early for a good view of the castle. I ended up going to Castle Terrace, this is around the back of the castle so you do miss some of the fireworks but it is quieter. I did go around to Princes Street near the end to take more pictures but couldn't get a clear view of The Castle. 

I took 756 pictures of the fireworks this evening and just picked out a couple for today's Blip.
