Fading Summer

I can't believe tomorrow is the first day of September. In some ways it seemed August and the arrival of sweet little Gus would never come, and in other ways it seems like the summer months were gone in a flash. It's darker earlier, the nights are cooler, and there's definitely a touch of Fall in the air.
Grateful today for..homegrown tomatoes from our neighbor. Caprese salad is the best!!
