One crowded hour

A trip to Edinburgh to watch the big bang, aka the Festival firework display. Very impressive it was too and the first time I'd seen it in the 'flesh' so to speak. Having to stand around for two hours in front of all the seasoned festival goers with their travel rugs, folding chairs and picnic baskets waiting for it to start wasn't great, but at least I wasn't under a tree.

Still haven't recovered from paying £12.50 a ticket for access to what is a public open space. If I do it again, I'm standing in Princes Street to watch for free.
