An Interesting Angle
14.7C with some bright spells and plenty of showers. Light breeze.
Apothecary7's day off. We went to Broughty Ferry and managed a wander round with Maeve the Deerhound with just one light shower as we walked. On one of the piers we noticed that one of the old Dundee Harbour light fittings has collapsed just above the post and was being held only by the internal cabling at an interesting angle. How long before it is blown away or falls remains to be seen.
Apothecary7, Maeve and I went for a walk before lunch when we got home. For a change, and since we didn't want to go as far as usual, we went down the field with the bridle path. At the bottom of the path the little lodge at one of the gates to the big property Liz McColgan used to own was all boarded up. I hadn't noticed that from the cycle path on my recent daily walks. We pushed open a gate and wandered through the grounds of the big house only to find that it has been boarded up too. Metal contrivances over the windows and doors and notices declaring all valuables have been removed. A sign of the times. It has lain empty too long.
We went back down to the cycle path walked along and came up the road to the shore. Rain came on soon after and has been on and off since.
