Unexpected Flowers

It's always nice when the doorbell rings and someone's standing there with an unexpected bunch of flowers.  Just recently I heard, or maybe read, a comment to the effect that one of the positive aspects of middle age is having enough flower vases.  I'll agree with that.  I can remember stuffing unexpected flowers into milk bottles and the like when I was younger.
