Near Disaster!

In theory Geoff and I are off to Turkey for a week on Saturday. You need a visa for Turkey so Geoff went online to purchase these yesterday evening. Only to discover that in order to go anywhere further than Cornwall you need to have at least 6 months left on your passport. And mine expires on 16th February. This was 1 challenge too many just at the moment. However I rang the Passport Office and was given an appointment at 1645 today. So I pitched up with my (ghastly) photos, a completed form, my old passport and my credit card. The whole operation took about 5 minutes and I can go and pick up my new passport in the morning. Which I will do. Fingers crossed no unforseen hitches.
