Weir beneath Neptune's staircase

Neptune's staircase is a sequence of eight locks that lift boats up and down the 64' difference between Loch Linnhe and sea level near Fort William. The elevated canal that connects the staircase to the loch has several aqueducts that allow rivers and traffic to pass underneath and provide interesting routes for walks around the area.
