Weird and wonderful . . .
I was taking photos of the hips on the Rosa Rugosa bushes when I spotted this furry little chap. He is a Vaporer Moth caterpillar, I found one, only one, last year.
Once I started looking today, I realised there were lots of them! Some were really small, just hatched, and some had white bristles on their backs, as opposed to brown.
My proof reader has drawn my attention to the fact that the beans we picked, shelled, blanched and froze at the weekend, were broad beans, not runner beans. Mea culpa!
