Broad Billed Sandpiper
This is a tiny little bird that makes the Ringed Plover look a giant in comparison. This little Sandpiper is another wetland bird that scurries about looking for food in the mud, very busy and those feathers and their pattern are the perfect camouflage, if it stays still for a moment you cannot see it, it completely disappears into the background from a long way away. This little bird will not let you get too close although it seems to be braver than the bigger birds. This whole page has been corrected after one of my lovely followers put me straight! Not a Dunlin as I had thought but a Broad Billed Sandpiper! Thank you Chris!
