'Dad's Night At Cubs'

What a fun night at Cubs tonight. It was Dad's night to join in the fun and we also had to dress up in our favourite sports team outfits.

Firstly the Cubs had to sit all of their Dad's down on chairs, cover us with a big garbage bag with a hole in it for our heads and give us a shave. The shaving cream was whipped cream and no the razors didn't have blades in them, but boy there were some laughs and messy faces. My face now stinks like sour milk. I'll have to have a good scrub before heading to bed.

Then we had a paper plane competition where the Dad's had to make a plane and then the kids had to throw them, it was a longest flight comp, my plane was built more for flight time rather than distance but it did pretty well. A footy comp followed, handball and kicking for goals. The kids ended up beating the Dad's 86 to 83, booooo.

Ended the night eating pies and cakes.

Went for a lunchtime walk around the botanical gardens, the weather was beautiful, but that all changed around 5:30pm when the showers started and have just stopped in the last hour or so. Took this down along the Yarra River banks just near where I parked the car.
