Drawing Room

A bit of over processing but just to demonstrate what HDR can do in seemingly impossible lighting conditions. This indoor shot was taken in dingy lighting with just one light source from a side window.

Spent the day at Beamish which is a living museum telling the story of the people of North East England during the Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian period.

Staff are dressed in period costume an play a variety of rolls to help the authenticity.

I heard one politically incorrect (but funny) conversation.

A young girl dressed as a maid was upstairs in one of the rooms dusting and polishing some ornaments.

Visitor: " That looks really clean you have made fine job of polishing it"

Maid: "Yes everything here has been well cleaned"

Visitor: "Do you do the same thing all day?"

Maid: "Yes I spend the full day just dusting and polishing, and dusting and polishing. All day long"

Visitor: "That's a coincidence - I'm looking for a wife who will do that!"
