Before the rain

Went for a little wander this morning, just to get out really. It was really warm and sunny (unlike this afternoon, which was very wet!). It was really busy on the canal - September must be optimum time for narrow boat holidays! There was even a queue for Three Rise Locks! One narrow boat in the locks and another two waiting! I took this picture at Five Rise Locks; I had to walk on a 'bridge' which is basically a plank over the lock. There are a couple of wooden bars to prevent you from falling to your death, but that's it. For someone who is a) not good with heights and b) not a strong swimmer, it's a precarious situation to be in.
