Boiling

It was boiling today. I mean really boiling. Above 30 degrees and very humid. The kind of day which should be spent in water or indoors. Instead I decided to do a 10km hilly trail and cobbles race which started at 3pm. I wouldn't recommend it as I really suffered during and after. Surprisingly.
I managed to catch the leading ladies by 5km and take the lead but was caught with just over 1km to go. I couldn't respond but was happy with second place as it's the first time I've been on the podium in Belgium.
My kids thought I was pretty cool too and me feel like a celeb, although I think they were more interested in the ridiculously big trophy!
