The Cutty Sark

Wednesday 2nd September 2015 (1103)

Travelled into London on the tube with Mum and my sister-in-law, down to the London Eye. Then caught the water taxi and enjoyed a river trip to Greenwich. We wandered round the Cutty Sark and went into the shop to get this view from below. We then visited the Painted Hall and Chapel in the Old Naval College before getting the water taxi back to the Embankment. 

It was then on to the Lyceum theatre to see the Lion King, with grateful thanks to a friend of mine who gave me theatre vouchers for Christmas. What a fantastic show! Afterwards we met my brother and niece for cocktails and a lovely meal before the journey back on the tube, home in time for a game of cards. A great day. The trip to the theatre was the main reason behind the holiday.
