In the Middle

Still working on my new painting. Today I was at open studio so I spent about four hours working on this. Even though the background trees were dramatic before, they are now more subdued so that the reflection and chairs and people in the foreground get more attention. There is much more to do on this painting. You can see an intermediate stage in the extra photo.
