Into the Distance
Firstly, I am so very thrilled by the overwhelming response to yesterday's Morning Glory sunrise blip! Thank you all so very much - I can't believe that it is in number 2 position on page one - I'm glowing with pleasure :)) It's turning out to be one of my three most popular blips ever (only surpassed by blipday postings), so, if you missed it, you may like to pop back and take a look! I'm sorry if I've not managed to thank you personally - I really do appreciate each and every one of you!
A frustrating day today as I had expected to have a new door and a couple of windows fitted but received an email yesterday evening to say they couldn't do it today after all. I had another guy scheduled for 8 am though - to fix a leaking toilet - I'd got both jobs down for the same day, so as not to have to stay in for two whole days - ah, well.....I really could have done with a lie in after two mornings of photographing the sunrise....
When he'd not arrived by 10:30, I made a phone call and was told that it was from 8 am and he would actually be arriving at 12:45! Frustrating! In the interim, I decided I'd better go out with my camera to soothe my ruffled feathers and headed to the recreation ground, as I couldn't go very far afield.
This row of trees disappearing into the distance caught my attention. I thought I'd play with it a bit......and put it on a 'mat', carefully following Hobbs' 'how to' guide - thanks, Hobbs! :))
And, no, the toilet didn't get fixed. Apparently, unbeknown to me, it had been leaking some time and the floor boards are soaking wet, maybe rotting.....insurance job.....sigh........
On the positive side, I'm very thankful that it is not the only toilet in the house! :))
Just backblipped another Uganda image, should you care to take a look. Two more to go....... :)
