Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke-on-Trent is called the World Capital of Ceramics - it has had a pottery industry for over 300 years - e.g. Wedgwood, Spode, Royal Doulton, Emma Bridgewater. This blip is of the train station. The 1862 bronze statue is of Josiah Wedgwood (1730-1795) - the founder of Wedgwood.

Stoke Extras:

Close-up of the station's external roof (it has a beautiful pattern)
