Hot air

We went to Bombay Sapphire's Distillery today.

The tour was very interesting. The photo is taken inside one of the hot houses designed by Thomas Heatherwick.  He is probably better known for the 2012 Olympic Cauldron. The houses are warmed by the hot air from the distilling processes and they grow examples of the botanicles used in making gin.

Bombay Sapphire contains 10 botanicles - juniper being one of course. As part of the tour you get to smell all of the different possible bonicales, and select 5 of them.  At the end of the tour you can have a cocktail based on the flavours that you have selected. I had a Twice Twisted Martini - very nice.

After a cocktail at lunchtime I had a nice snooze on the sofa.

I'd highly recommend the tour - see here for more information
