Christmas Plum Promise

Each year this gnarled old tree (about 50ish years) is absolutely groaning with bounty in Christmas week. We fill bucket after bucket and give them away to all and take a ute load to the lake too, dispersing them amongst our holidaying neighbours at Lake Tarawera. Their bright red skins are a festive addition to the Christmas table and the children demolish them in no time.
