Alleyways

Had to be in downtown Vancouver today.
I always find it a hassle, the two "P's" that I hate most are there in abundance (Pedestrians who ignore crossing signals, and parking charges ;-))
Add in the never ending construction of new office towers and road repair, and traffic is a nightmare. And yet, everywhere you go,  around the back from the polished glass and chrome exteriors showing the opulence of modern business and commercialism, are the back alleys that seem to crumble as you look at them. Watch a Hollywood movie, or TV series from the US and there's a very good chance you'll see more than a few of Vancouver's back alleys to show the grittier side of whichever city they are pretending to depict.
This particular piece of art reminded me of Roger Rabbit, or that Jim Carrey movie, The Mask.

Ah well, rant over. Until tomorrow....
