The lake in Mote Park (again)
Another shot of Mote Park in the late afternoon sunshine after a shower of rain had passed through. As we were approaching, the lake was placid and calm and the reflections seemed to be perfect. Then something spooked a swan which then proceded to honk and run across the water in its ungainly launch procedure. No matter, the ripples added a impressionistic appearance to the lake surface which I quite like.
Hadn't done much before the walk, pottered really, clearing up debris from the desk, catching up on emails and the like. Spent some time with Susan's mum after lunch.
After the walk prepared a kilo of runner beans to make runner bean chutney, which tasted good, but seems to have too much liquid so I may have pour it out of the jars and add some cornflour to thicken it.
