A Dog Named Sane
I spent the morning catching up on things including the Great British Bake Off. It was Alternative Ingredients, fine it itself, making a sugar free cake, which used maple syrup, agave, honey or any other sweetener, so not made completely without sugar. The gluten-free technical challenge was to make gluten-free Pitta breads; a new gluten-free cake would have been better as I doubt anyone makes their own Pitta bread. Then apparently The Sun newspaper, commented about the GBBO ‘embracing modernity’ and the ‘fads and fussy eaters' that they were catering for. This does not help our cause when we go to restaurants and ask for gluten-free food. Diabetes, Coeliac, Dairy and Lactose Intolerance are medical conditions, not fads!
Then during the afternoon it was a visit to Addenbrookes hospital with my husband. He saw the doctor from Papworth Hospital and in the future we will be going solely to Papworth instead of Addenbrookes.
Today’s picture is of a dog named ‘sane’, related to ‘changing mental health for good’. The side view picture that I took was nicer, but unfortunately I took it in a hurry as it had started to rain; the side view was not as sharp as it needed to be!
