Streetlight Stalling

We have been waiting for the new street lighting to become operational in our part of the village...for 9 months.

Yesterday in a burst of 2 hour activity outside the house, pavements were dug and barriers erected.

And today... no activity... presumably we are waiting for a different department to connect up the correct lights, fill in the holes and remove the old lamps.  

It won't be happening over the weekend that's for sure, so we will be enjoying the holes and the barriers for a while longer.
